Now, if you have been reading this post, then first of all, that is probably around 15 minutes of your life you will never get back. Also, you may have seen some terms you weren't familiar with. This is because having a baby now requires that you are fluent in a secret language. I have tried to break some of the abbreviations down for those that might be new to this, and I am going to try and expand on this a bit. i hope this does not get me kicked out of the ttc club. I made a reference earlier to cervical mucus. This is a miraculous part of what nature does to recreate. While amazing, it is gross to talk about, yet anyone in the ttc club talks about it like they talk about what they had for breakfast. Not only using the term cervical mucus (cm) but will discuss various stages of cm. There is watery cm, sticky cm, and my personal favorite ewcm or egg white cm.That's right, folks. This is a normal conversation topic. When I had my surgery, Dr. Greene took my husband and I into a room to explain cervical mucus and its function to us. You see, it acts like fly tape in my vagina holding the little swimmers in place to get them where they need to go. Pretty cool. Pretty gross. Pretty funny. I wanted to include this in this post because as I continue to document this journey, these things will be mentioned. Also you will see POAS. This means you pee on a stick. Fertile window is cycle days 10 -15. As I stated I am on cd3 on my second cycle since the surgery c#2. I am hoping some of this helps to understand more of the process. I will post again soon.

Body Language
As previously stated, I have been blessed with 3 beautiful children. That means that 3 times my body, of its own will, developed and launched an egg. My body then discerned what to do with this foreign invader known as sperm to create a baby. This was all done without the use of an ovulation kit, a temp chart, or an obsession with checking cervical mucus. The first 2 pregnancies were completely accidental, meaning, my body did this without me telling it to. My 3rd child was planned....well, as much planning went into that as "I think I will go off the pill so that we can have our last child" and BOOM I was pregnant. Now that I am actively ttc (trying to conceive for all the out of the loop readers), I must obsess about everything. Considering that I had major surgery on the first day of my 5 day fertile window, we weren't really trying last month. I was in some pain, and DH was afraid to cause more pain. Technically, we did bd (baby dance) 2 times, but didn't really think anything would happen out of that, and we were right. AF (aunt flo, and yes, all people in the ttc world refer to their period as this and you will see the abbreviation everywhere) showed up 3 days ago. While you may not understand, and will rarely hear this... I was glad to see her because it meant we would begin Cycle 2. So, as these days are useless for ttc, you would think they would just be easy days. Rest, relax. NO. I started my temp chart on cycle day 1 (cd1 is the first day of your period) SWo as soon as I wake up in the morning, I take my temperature before sitting up or peeing or turning on a light. This is all part of the process of my body telling me when to have sex. I find it humurous.
